Paul holds a Master of Music in Music Education from Boston University (2016) as well as a Bachelor of Music in Professional Music, Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music. Famous Alumni: Musicians Les Stroud, Emm Gryner, William Peter Randall, Trevor Morris, and radio hosts Ted Roop and Greg Brady all attended Fanshawe College. Paul also served as Head of the Bass Department at MacEwan University from 1996 to 2001. He was also Bass Masterclass Instructor at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. Students at Shelton State Community College who are pursuing Associate Degrees with an emphasis in Music or are Fine Arts Scholarship. Paul has performed on countless recording sessions, television productions, commercials, musical theater productions, as well as international concert tours with platinum selling artist Roger Whittaker.
Most recently, Paul served as Music Director for "One Night for One Drop”, working closely with world-renowned film composer Hans Zimmer. He sits on the board of National Youngarts Foundation and served as a panelist. The training is completed in three levels. Before his work at “O'‘, Shihadeh performed as bassist for “Le Reve”. McElroy is an Artist In Residence for the inaugural year (2021) of Little Island, Manhattan’s newest public park, and a founding member of Black Theatre United, Music Theater Dance Professionals in the Academy (MTDPA), and MUSE (Musicians United for Social Equity). is an organized method of vocal training for Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) styles, (those styles that used to be called non-classical) based upon somatic (physical) awareness and aural discernment. He is the Bassist and Assistant Music Director for Cirque du Solei’s internationally renowned water show, “O”. Paul Shihadeh’s career as a bassist, music director, and educator spans over 35 years, with worldwide live and recording accolades in contemporary rock, funk, fusion, R&B, and jazz.
